Chris Organic
Label Manager
Chris graduated in Music
Information Technology in ‘94 and then went on to
train at one of the UK’s top sound engineering
schools, Islington Music Workshop. So impressed
with his recording and sequencing skills, IMW took
Chris on as a tutor and assistant engineer. Around
this time Chris was also running a music stall in
Camden Market, selling tapes he’d mixed himself
from vinyl. From those tapes (which have become
famous all over the World), and going under the
name ‘Organic’ Chris started DJing at underground
trance parties in the UK, then around Europe, and
very quickly he went on to become a well-respected
figure in the global trance scene playing all over
the world and in every continent, because of that
Chris is no stranger to big crowds, putting on a
good show regularly to crowds as big as 30,000 and
beyond. He has played some of the biggest parties
and festivals around the globe such as: Solipse
Hungary, Celebra Brazil, Earthcore Australia,
Rainbow Serpent Australia, Science Fiction UK
(with Eat Static), Return To The Source,
Earthdance, Fusion Berlin, SummerDance Munich,
SolaLunar Samothraki, and Underwater Overground
Croatia.
Chris then was producing music in
his own home studio, as well as working on
collaborations with international artists wherever
he could. This led to some hit records in the
psytrance scene, including his solo album in 2002
“Don’t Panic” and releases on Spiral Trax (with
Prisoners of The Sun), Transient, MDMA, Goldhead,
Rumour Records, Jumpin’ & Pumpin’, etc.
Some of his other accomplishments include:
- Writing reviews for Dream Creation, Revolve,
and Gulfin magazines.
- Hosting his own weekly show on Manchester
based community radio for 2 years and playing on
several radio shows around the world such as
KissFm in Sydney, Australia.
- Appeared on numerous TV shows around the
world: Big Breakfast on ITV in the UK, MTV
Trance Zone in greece, Dancefloor in Paris, etc.
- Had Dj residencies at Club Alien (UK), Gaia
Concept (Paris), Science Fiction (UK) and played
alongside Eat Static at the legendary sold-out
Fridge event.
- Featured as DJ of the month in Wax magazine
1997.
Numerous other profiles in
magazines around the world. In ‘97 Chris started
Organic Records, which back then was the first
true progressive psychedelic trance cross-over
label. Up to now Organic has released numerous
successful compilations and has recently switched
to releasing quality artist albums. Organic has
always had a solid reputation for releasing
cutting edge psytrance music with vibrant artwork.
Focusing on quality rather than quantity, this
principle will always maintained by
Chris.
Chris took a break from touring in
2003 when his son was born, and also to do some
work for major UK TV shows like X-factor and Pop
Idol. He’s also used his skills to make music for
computer games (Championship Manager 5 Playstation
2/ X-box) and TV adverts (3-mobile, Sky Sports,
GMG etc). Chris also is a qualified and
experienced engineer, mastering all organics
releases using his own patented 32bit, 3
dimensional sonic manipulation technique.
In January 2005 Chris Organic and his team
pulled together the Tsunami Benefit CD, a
“legendary” 3xCD box set which sold out 4000
copies in a couple of weeks and which so far has
raised almost £10,000 for the victims of the Asian
Tsunami.
Now he’s back for the attack,
making kick-arse psytrance tracks and playing live
at some selected festivals. Chris has also
recently launched a new side of Organic Records
called Organic Chill. Keep an eye out for his
downtempo moniker called Organic Substance, where
he is collaborating with musical-technology
innovator, Pale Moon Rising... and a couple of
tuff, psychedelic-progressive dancefloor mayhem
remixes of 2 very big bands outside the scene...
more to come :)
Chris now has a solid live
set as well as rocking dancefloors worldwide with
his awesome DJ sets… always interesting, groovy,
and ultimately uplifting. His reputation stands
before him: 10 years touring and not a single
complaint yet ! For more info on Chris Organic,

Aphid
Moon
Jules
Hamer has been
heavily immersed in the Psy-trance scene since
1994. So impressed and inspired by the sound
and energy of the parties, he set up and promoted
his own trance night named "Aphid Moon" which
featured many of today's British Psy Djs and
artists: Tristan (Twisted), James Monroe (Flying
Rhino), Joti Sidu (Psychaos), Cosmosis, Kuma
(Mumbo Jumbo), John Om (Green Oms), Dickster (Geen
Nun's, Jumani) and Chris Organic to mention a few.
After a successful run of 12 parties he set his
energies to Djing and producing.
With a
few releases in '95 and '97 he started to develop
his own unique style through the Squat parties and
Clubs of the London to Japan and Europe's festival
scene, getting releases on Organic, Atomic, Flying
Rhino, Alchemy, Transient, Dragonfly, Tipworld,
Koyote, Turbo-trance, Nano records and Japanese
giants Solstice records.
Last year saw the
release of his first solo album "High Diver" on
Dragonfly records; "a tough, uncompromising but
awesomely groovy" psychedelic sound (DJ Mag). More
recently he's been in the studio working on
various killer collaborative projects with top
producers including Chris Organic, Tristan
(Twisted), Ans (Nano), Nate (Protoculture), Lucas
(Tipworld), Stella Nutella, Dick Trevor (Green

Alchera
Alchera - the Australian
aboriginal word for "dreamtime" - is Sean
Davidson, who makes tracks to take you dancing
into your own dreamtime.
Many years of
interest in diverse forms of electronic music has
seen him go from writing a fanzine on "electronic
body music" and early 90's industrial-dance, to
finally making his own tracks - psychedelic
excursions into other lands! Look out for some
mind-altering tracks to come in

OOOD
OOOD are 4 blokes from England
whose mission is to have a good time, spread a
little joy and write some blinding hard psy-trance
in the process.
Originally formed in 1994
by Colin Bennun, Nigel Bradbury and Stephen
Callaghan, the current line-up is Colin, Steve and
new members (but old friends) Ramsay Melhuish and
Ryo Potier. As well as being talented DJs, they
bring an extra live element to OOOD’s live shows,
adding percussion and live psychedelia. A live
band from their inception, OOOD have been gigging
since they formed in Oxford, honing their craft at
local events.
Their very first performance
in London (at Otherworld) was described in Dream
Creation magazine as "bang on, with a power and a
quality all too often lacking in some of the more
well-known atists". On the London party circuit
their performances include live sets for Synergy
Project, Tribe of Frog, Return to the Source,
Astral Phoenix, Otherworld, Escape from Samsara,
Pagan & many others. The list goes on and as
well as smaller London venues, includes parties
all over the UK.

Marcia
Ghisi(MARS)
Born
in Tubarao, in the south of Brazil, Marcia Ghisi
has been living in Europe since 1990. She lived
and studied in England at first, and there
received a degree in Media Studies and Arts
Management. Musically, she already enjoyed
styles such as house and acid house, hard
trance, D&B and tekno. Untill, in 1998,
Marcia moved to Amsterdam and discovered a new
style: Psychedelic Trance. Soon she became
involved and since 2000, she has been
collaborating with the Dutch sound system 9
Lifes - helping set up the parties, making
decoration and developing unique DJ
sets.
She has played in outdoor and
indoor locations in Holland, Brazil and Belgium,
participating in events such as the Queen's Day
Party Under the Bridge (Amsterdam, 2002 &
2003), Earthdance (Amsterdam, 2003), Universo
Parallelo New Year's Festival (Brazil, 2001),
The Melkweg (Amsterdam 2002).
As well,
Marcia played in many other gigs in and around
Amsterdam and in Brazil. Her style mixes full-on
to progressive, fusing melody and groove lines
into one.

Born in Athens in 1981, AlexSense started playing psychedelic music as a professional dj in 1999. He used to play at indoor and outdoor parties all around Greece. The following years found him, setting up his own Event Production/Management/Promotion Company based in Athens, under the name `6th Sense Productions`. Lots of mobile parties followed under different project names (6th Sense, Kinetic, Crystal Maze, Equalizer) with many international guests artists like Dimitri Nakov, Aphid Moon, Chris Organic, Andrew Humphries, XP, Sam Chaishop, Stella Nutella, dj Pena, James Monro, Antix, Atmos, Fiord to name a few. `6th Sense Productions` is also the official outlet for massive international electronic music festivals in Greece.
At the beginning of 2002, AlexSense joined Organic Records as a label dj and promotion label manager for Greece. That time, his style was full on psy trance music between 138 -144 bpm. In the following years he developed his musical style and lowered down in bpms. He always takes in consideration the venue, the audience and time and now blends progressive psy trance & house tunes with tech, tribal, electro, minimal and hypnotic influences. AlexSense is already known from his quality and versatile dance music dj sets at various festivals and parties around Europe.
In 2006 he moved in London to broaden his musical knowledge and production skills and after two years of serious work, is now a postgraduate with a Masters Degree in Audio Technology (Thames Valley University/London College of Music - UK). At the moment he is focusing in music production under two projects, his solo one and another project with co-producer Simon Revill aka SENSOGRAM.

Dj
Maia
The
long hours and hard work of building a
reputation for professionalism and technical
skills in DJ-ing and live performance has been
an ongoing reality for Maia since 2002. Now a
well known and popular Psytrance and Chill Out
DJ in New Zealand, Maia has also performed at
numerous events overseas in Germany, Ireland,
England and USA. Her seamless, dynamic mixing
style, constant interaction with the partygoers
and ability to really crank up the energy of the
dance floor has earned her much respect.
For the past five years Maia has been
organising various indoor and outdoor events in
Wellington to facilitate celebrations of the
Solstice, Equinox and other ancient seasonal
festivals. Co-founder of the Emerge and
Psybersonix underground warehouse parties, Maia
soon began collaborating with other Psytrance
crews in the city to host events along
Wellington’s spectacular coastline and to
organise a series of highly successful events at
the National Tattoo Museum.
Also actively involved in the south island
scene, Maia was a main instigator and organiser
of the Uprising ’07 NYE multi-zone festival on
the legendary Canaan Downs. All such events have
shared a distinctive tribal, pagan vibe,
incorporating fire dancers, live musicians, VJs,
DJs, artists, healers, and ritual drumming.
This strong, tribal energy is evident in
Maia’s DJ’s performances. Whether full power
Psytrance, funky Progressive or sublime Chill
Out, Maia’s sets offer pathways into the realms
of spiritual trance, into other dimensions,
where the intention is to stimulate our evolving
consciousness and our sense of
interconnectedness. By being present in the
moment and tuning into the energies on the dance
floor, Maia creates an interactive mix that is
spontaneously unique.
Often merging a range of other genres
including Dub, Breaks, World Grooves and
underground beats from Aotearoa, Maia’s sets
dissolve boundaries, have widespread appeal and
are packed full of fun and energy.
